ABF Holds President's Cup 2009

The Architects’ Badminton Federation held its President’s Cup on November 21, 2009 at the Centro Atletico Courts in Cubao, Quezon City.

One hundred forty (140) participants battled it out in 7 divisions, with the following emerging as winners in their respective classes:

Class A Champions – Ariel Magbanua & Patrick Ng (Toto)
Class A Runners-Up – Joey Mendoza & Melvin Pagdato (Unitec)

Class B1 Champions – Haydyn Hernandez & Sonny Soriano (Bradnam’s)
Class B1 Runners-Up – Benjie Dela Cruz & Mabi Rosimo (Unitec)

Class B2 Champions – Jun Roberto & Marlon Reyes (Lepanto)
Class B2 Runners-Up – Danny Joe Cajucom & Rene Vergel (Kuysen)

Class C1 Champions – Carlo Matela & Armin Pamintuan (Bradnam’s)
Class C1 Runners-Up – Tony Peñarroyo & Lionel Carullo (Lepanto)

Class C2 Champions – Tony Peñarroyo & Lionel Carullo (Lepanto)
Class C2 Runners-Up – Steve Jimenez & Albert Ong (Boysen)

Class C3 Champions – Jun Bongat & Ann (Kenzai)
Class C3 Runners-Up – Ching Roxas & Melvin Zabat (Kludi)

Power Mixed Champions – Mich De Guzman & Richard Mariano (Boysen)
Power Mixed Runners-Up – Joy Belicena & Weesen Kua (Kenzai)

The awarding party was held immediately after the games at the Clubhouse of the Avida development along Santolan Ave., also in Quezon City. Several sponsors pledged donations to the fundraising project of the ABF, which was an effort to help members who were severely affected by typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng.
