The University of the Philippines College of Architecture (UPCA) celebrated its fifty second anniversary with a General Homecoming held on March 7, 2008 at Building 1 of the UPCA complex. The homecoming and other activities were part of the Centennial Celebrations of the University of the Philippines System.

The program was jump-started with a lively presentation by the UP Pep Squad, which set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The UPCAAFI also recognized the works of some notable artists, namely Arturo Luz, the father and son tandem of Abdul Mari Imao and Abdul Mari “Toymie” Imao, Jr. and Napoleon Abueva.

UPCA Alumni Foundation, Inc. (UPCAAFI) President Arch. Dinky Consunji-Laperal presented the accomplishments and programs of her Board. Arch. Pankoy Santaromana, chair of the alumni badminton tournament held March 1 acknowledged the winners and thanked the others who supported the competition. The chairs of the other sports activities invited the alumni to join the golf and bowling tournaments to be held later in the year.

The election for UPCAAFI Trustees – five alumni trustees and one each from the faculty of BS Architecture and the Landscape Architecture programs – was also held.

Entertainment was provided by the Zynxation Band.
