UAP Diliman Holds GMM at Music 21 Plaza

The United Architects of the Philippines Diliman Chapter held their general membership meeting on February 21, 2008 at the Music 21 Plaza in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Chapter President Minnie Rosel congratulated the members for retaining the overall championship at the District A4 Olympiad, held on January 19, 2008 at the Celebrity Sports Plaza, and for the different awards given to the Chapter during the Area A Assembly (Sandiwa 2008) held on February 15-17 in Bacolor, Pampanga.

Arch. Rosel also announced that the turnover rites for the Chapter’s latest schoolroom projects would be held in mid-March.

Arch. Bronne Dytoc invited the members to participate in the badminton tournament the UP College of Architecture Alumni Foundation, Inc. is holding on March 1 at the Centro Atletico Courts in Cubao, Quezon City. The badminton tournament is one of the activities for the 52nd anniversary of the UP College of Architecture, as well as the centenary of the University of the Philippines.

Past Chapter President Armin Sarthou likewise announced that elections for UPCAAFI directors will be held during the alumni homecoming on March 7, 2008 at the Building 1 of the UPCA Complex.

James Hardie, which supports the Chapter’s schoolroom rehabilitation program, delivered a product presentation, before the Chapter’s members took the stage and sang their hearts out, to the enjoyment of the other members.
