The United Architects of the Philippines will hold its 37th National Convention on April 28-30, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center.
With “Reinventing Service-Oriented Architecture” as the Convention’s theme, the Continuing Professional Development seminars are structured around five (5) sub-themes, namely: the “Enterprise Architects” who understand the crucial role of the architectural profession vis-à-vis business, cultural, technological and geographical boundaries; the “Virtual Architects” who have a complete grasp of the power of technology and media, using them as tools in conveying architectural concepts, and as instruments for learning and catalysts for change; the “Architects of a Low-Energy Future” take the lead in sustainable design through integrated planning and whole-systems thinking; the “Vernacular Architects” who are committed to preserving and conserving the architectural expressions of our cultural heritage; the “Public Architects” who are from both the public and private sectors and who strive for better governance – they imbibe the qualities of leadership, authority, accountability, stewardship and transparency.
Registration to the Convention is now going on. No on-site registration will be entertained. Payments made after April 08, 2011 will not be accepted. Breakdown of registration fees per Area/District is available at http://www.uapnatcon.co.nr/.
