Indirect measuring Use the function "indirect length measuring" to determine distances which cannot be measured directly because the optical path of the beam is obstructed or there is no reflecting target surface.
In order to determine the correct distance, the laser beam and the line to be measured have to form a right angle (Pythagorean theorem).
In our sample illustration we need to determine the distance C. For this purpose we have to measure a and b.
Transfer of measurements The function "continuous measuring" makes the quick transfer of measurements possible, e.g. from construction diagrams. While the instrument is moved in relation to the target, the measured value is updated approx. every 0.5 sec.
In this fashion you can, for example, move the instrument
until the desired distance from the ceiling is reached.
The display automatically indicates the measured value which allows you to mark the required distance at the back
of the instrument casing.
Determination of diagonal, vertical, horizontal Use the integrated minimum-maximum function to determine the minimum and/or maximum distance from a fixed point of reference. This function helps you find the diagonal (maximum value) as well as the vertical or horizontal (minimum value). |
